CREANDUM, one of Europe’s leading early-stage venture capital firms, is seeking a Marketing and Communications Manager.
The responsibility of this role is to own all marketing-related activities and shape the public image and reputation of the CREANDUM Funds. As the MarComs Manager, with a clear internal and external position, you will ensure that the brand is presented clearly and follows our values in all channels (earned and owned media). You will manage internal processes, outside partners, and contracted freelancers. A strategic view and a hands-on mentality are required to succeed in this job. This is a maternity cover position with a preferred location in London but not a hard requirement as the job can be executed to a great extent in a remote setting. Occasional travelling is required.
As a Marketing & Communications Manager, your responsibilities include:
Maintain and continue to uplift Creandum’s international brand awareness as one of Europe’s leading early-stage VC firms.
Ensure a consistent brand image across all marketing channels.
Plan, create and distribute content for Creandum’s owned marketing channels.
Lead all public relations efforts from start to finish on behalf of Creandum and its early-stage portfolio companies.
Ensure Creandum’s representation at all industry-relevant events throughout the year (SLUSH, Websummit, Bits&Pretzels - you name it) and secure top speaking opportunities.
Support operationally our head of events on internal and external events.
Keep the Creandum website up-to-date.
Work in close cooperation and alignment with the Creandum investment team, the operations team and our portfolio companies’ entrepreneurs and their functional marketing leads.
Report, plan and balance KPIs on a quarterly basis.
What we look for:
3-5+ years of experience in a similar Brand Marketing/Communications role, preferably in the startup/scaleup tech environment and/or VC/PE industry.
Excellent communication skills, verbal, written and presentation, to all levels of an organization.
Very good command of English, both spoken and written.
Tech affinity and genuine interest in startups.
Track record of creating content (journalism background beneficial).
A good (visual) eye for detail.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Gmail suite, Photoshop and Mailchimp. Notion, Airtable, and GitHub are beneficial.
This is a maternity cover position for a limited time of 12-18 months.
The preferred location is London but not a hard requirement as the job can be executed to a high extent in a remote setting. Occasional travelling is required.
Preferred Start Date is Q1 2023.
